Rate of suicide deaths per 100,000 people | Local Authority | 2019-2021

Title Rate of suicide deaths (Age-Standardised) per 100,000 people
Description Rate of suicide deaths (Age-Standardised) per 100,000 people. Cause of death is based on the underlying cause of death as provided on the individuals death certificate. Date is based on the date the death was registered as opposed to the date of death. European age-standardised rate (per 100,000) is directly age standardised using the 2013 European standard population. Figures are for suicide deaths registered in each calendar year. Figures may vary from year to year and care must be taken when interpreting these figures. Due to the length of time it can take to hold an inquest, it could be months or even years before a suicide is registered.
